Last updated: July 2025

1. Use of this website

  • This website is provided for informational purposes. Nothing on these pages constitutes legal advice, and no attorney–client relationship is formed by visiting or using it.

  • You may use this website for personal, non-commercial purposes and to enquire about Knob Core Lab's services. Systematic copying, scraping, or reproduction of site content for commercial use is not permitted.

  • You must not use this website in any way that disrupts its operation, transmits harmful code, or attempts to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its infrastructure.

  • Access to this website is provided without guarantee of availability. Knob Core Lab may withdraw, modify, or suspend the site at any time without notice.

2. Enquiries and client accounts

  • Submitting an enquiry through the contact form does not establish a client relationship with Knob Core Lab. A client relationship arises only when a written engagement is confirmed by both parties.

  • When submitting an enquiry, you confirm that the information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Deliberately misleading information may result in our declining to act.

  • Knob Core Lab reserves the right to decline any enquiry or engagement at its discretion, including where a conflict of interest exists or the matter falls outside our areas of practice.

3. Service availability and modifications

  • Knob Core Lab operates from Sendai, Japan. Our services are primarily offered to individuals and businesses in Japan, though remote engagements may be accommodated where appropriate.

  • Service descriptions, fee structures, and operational procedures on this website are subject to change. Current terms are set out in the engagement documentation for each matter.

  • We aim to respond to enquiries within two working days. This is a target, not a contractual guarantee, and may be affected by volume or complexity.

4. Intellectual property

  • All content on this website — including text, structure, and design — is the property of Knob Core Lab and protected under applicable copyright law.

  • You may not reproduce, redistribute, or republish any portion of this website's content without prior written consent.

  • Legal documents prepared by Knob Core Lab in the course of a client engagement remain subject to agreed terms set out in the engagement letter.

5. External links

  • This website may contain links to third-party websites. Knob Core Lab does not control these sites and accepts no responsibility for their content or practices.

  • The inclusion of an external link does not constitute an endorsement of the linked site or its contents.

6. Changes to these terms

  • Knob Core Lab may update these Terms of Service at any time. The date of the most recent revision appears at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

7. Governing law

  • These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising from use of this website or its contents shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture.

Japan Act on Protection of Personal Information (APPI)

Under the APPI, you have the right to request disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, cessation of use, or cessation of provision to third parties of your retained personal data. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at +81 22-271-3846 or through our contact page. We will respond within a reasonable period, not exceeding two weeks from receipt of your request.
